Animal Science Internship

Responsibilities: (Part-time Position , 2-3 days per week. Approx 16-24 hours)

• Learn daily operations in the Rainforest Critter Center including but not limited to

• Daily feeding and general care of herps

• Learn about health issues of herps

• Assist in handling herps to do critter talks with customers in an educational and fun way

• General cleaning and upkeep of tanks

• Assist staff in general husbandry of herps

• Educate customers regarding herps in our care

• General cleaning and care of feeder insects

• ALL internships here are customer service based. All interns will be working closely with the public, not behind the scenes.

Qualifications:

• Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills

• Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution

• Leadership potential

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
